For these brilliant books for kids aged 2-6 by Kirstie Watson (and illustrated by Magdalena Sawko), I focused on preserving the quick humour, playful pacing, and distinctive character voices, making sure Dutch readers laughed in all the right places.
CloudBox™ – My First Dreambox
I translated all 36 original stories for this combined storyteller and projection nightlight for ages 0–8. Over weeks of living with these tales, I came to know and love characters like Drake the Dragon (Draco de Draak), Tina Turtle (Saartje de Schildpad), and Finley Fawn (Hidde het Hert). My goal was to ensure Dutch‑speaking children felt the same joy, comfort, and curiosity as the original stories inspired, whether they were drifting off under the gentle light projections or listening wide‑eyed during the day.
Pack & Match 3D
An educational puzzle app by Infinity Games with 50,000+ downloads and a ★4.6 average rating. I localized all in‑game text, from instructions and menus to reward messages, so they felt natural, encouraging, and crystal‑clear for young players aged 4-12. The aim was to keep children engaged and confident while ensuring parents could easily guide them if needed.

Good Night, Little One, Good Night!
A fully rhymed bedtime story designed to be read aloud for kids 0-4 by Marie Anna Laubert. I recreated the rhyme and rhythm in Dutch so it stayed soothing and musical for both parents and children. Dutch edition: ★4.7 average (28 Amazon NL reviews).
Nelly’s Box & Happiness Street
Two bilingual picture books in English and Dutch for ages 4–7 by Elisavet Arkolaki. I translated both with a focus on warmth, rhythm, and accessibility, but simultaneously also stuck closely to the English version, since both languages appear side‑by‑side, it was important to minimize the number of deviations, so young readers could confidently follow along in both languages.
